If you're in London you're never far from a print shop, so the question is whether it's worth leaving the house. For a single poster it usually isn't: a walk-in job tends to mean thinner paper, a wait, and a price that reflects the shop's rent. Prices are set for the five thousand or so sellers who use us every day, not for walk-in customers, and the paper, frames and presses are the same for your one print as for their hundred. There's no minimum, so ordering one A3 to see what it's like is a normal thing to do.

One thing worth knowing before you upload: the file needs to be the same shape as the size you pick. A phone photo is usually 3:4, which fits 30x40cm, 18x24 or 24x32; an A-series file fits A4 up to A0. If in doubt, order the size you're considering unframed first and frame the next one.

Do you print same day in London?

Can you print a poster I bought as a digital download?

Yes, as long as the seller's licence allows personal printing, which most Etsy downloads do. Use the largest file they gave you, check its shape against the size you want (A-series files fit A4 to A0, for example), and upload it as it is.

Do you deliver to flats, student halls and offices?

Anywhere in London with a postcode. Prints arrive rolled in a heavy-duty tube or flat, framed prints in a corner-protected box, and everything is tracked so you can see it coming. If your building has a mailroom or concierge, the courier delivers there as normal.

Which size works for a London flat?

A3 suits a desk, hallway or kitchen; A2 is the usual choice above a sofa or bed; A1 and A0 are for a wall you want to make the room about. If you're unsure, order the size you're considering unframed first: it's the cheapest way to see it on the wall, and a frame can follow.
