What's the paper like?

240gsm archival paper with giclée-quality inks, FSC-certified, in gloss, satin or matte. Noticeably heavier than most high-street poster paper, and it doesn't yellow or fade indoors.

Is the frame glass or plastic?

Plexiglass, 1–2mm, which is clearer than cheap acrylic and doesn't shatter in the post. The frame itself is pine in Black, White or Oak.

Can I print a panorama?

Only in the listed sizes, so a panorama either gets cropped to the nearest shape or you add a white border to the file so the image sits inside a standard size. We don't do custom dimensions.

How is it packed?

Prints go rolled in a heavy-duty cardboard tube, or flat for the small sizes. Framed prints go corner-protected in a box. Anything that arrives damaged is reprinted and resent free.

How prints are packed, and how to flatten one

Prints travel rolled in a heavy-duty cardboard tube, printed side in, with the small sizes sent flat. Frames go in a box with corner protectors. Both are packed to be dropped, and if one does arrive damaged, send a photo of the print and the packaging with the label visible and it's reprinted and resent free.

A rolled print wants to stay rolled for a day or so after it arrives. The quickest fix is to unroll it face down on a clean table, weigh the corners with books, and leave it overnight. For a stubborn curl, roll it gently the other way around the tube for an hour first. Don't iron it and don't dampen it.

If you're framing it yourself, flatten it first; a curled print in a frame will show a shadow at the edges. If you're ordering it framed, none of this applies: it arrives flat behind the plexiglass, ready to hang.
