When your orders import into PrintShrimp, we match each order to the right poster file using its SKU. If every size or variation carries a different SKU, there's no single code to match against — so the order can't import automatically. One shared SKU per product means every order links to the correct file, whatever size the customer picked.
You can change, add, or remove parts of your SKU codes across the listings you select. The most common job: stripping size codes so POSTER-A4, POSTER-A3 and POSTER-A2 all become POSTER — one SKU shared by every variation.
