If you're ordering from Scotland, the questions are usually about delivery rather than printing, so here's the delivery part first. Every order ships tracked. Standard delivery is included at the same price as the rest of the UK, with no surcharge for a Scottish postcode. Prints ordered before 3pm on a working day leave the same day, and mainland addresses usually see them two to three working days later. The islands can take a day or two more, and we'd rather say that than promise otherwise.

The printing is the same as for everyone: 240gsm giclée paper in gloss, satin or matte, framed if you want it, at prices set for the five thousand or so sellers who use us every day rather than for walk-in customers. There's no minimum, so one A3 to see what the paper is like is a perfectly normal order.

A lot of what we print for Scottish addresses is landscape photography at A2 and bigger. If that's you, upload the biggest version you have and check the shape against the size: a 2:3 file fits 16x24 and 24x36, an A-series file fits A4 up to A0.

FRAMING

Framed poster printing in Scotland

Frames travel to Scotland at the same price as anywhere else, behind plexiglass rather than glass, which matters more the further the parcel goes. Most sizes up to A1; there's no mount, but a white border on your file gives the same look.

Black frame

A smooth black finish. Pine, 20–25mm deep, with 1–2mm shatter-resistant plexiglass.

Sending a print to someone in Scotland

Do you deliver to the Highlands and Islands?

Yes, tracked, with standard delivery included like everywhere else in the UK. Mainland addresses usually see prints two to three working days after dispatch; the islands can take a day or two more.

Is there a surcharge for Scotland?

No. The price you see is the price for any UK address, VAT and standard delivery included.

Can you print my photos at a decent size?

Yes. A normal phone or camera photo prints well at anything up to A2; for A1 and bigger a larger file helps, and the uploader will say if one's too small. Satin or gloss for photos, matte for anything going behind glass, and Fine Art cotton rag for limited editions.

How far ahead should I order for an event?

Order before 3pm on a working day and it's dispatched that day, with Priority at checkout for the fastest delivery on orders of prints. A week ahead is comfortable; a few days is usually fine on the mainland.

Can I order several prints to one address and save?

Yes. Three or more prints in one order are 20% off every print, automatically. It has to be one order to one address, not three separate ones, and framed prints don't count towards the three.

Delivery to Scotland: mainland, Highlands and islands

Everything ships tracked with standard delivery included at the same price as the rest of the UK, and the only variable is how long the last leg takes. Mainland addresses, including the cities and most of the Highlands, usually see prints two to three working days after dispatch. Island addresses and the more remote postcodes can take a day or two more, and the tracking will show where the parcel is while you wait.

Prints ordered before 3pm on a working day leave the same day; framed prints are made first, which takes one to three working days. If a print is for a date, a week ahead is comfortable on the mainland and ten days is comfortable on the islands.

Prints travel rolled in a tube, frames boxed behind plexiglass rather than glass, and if anything arrives damaged it's reprinted and resent free. Nothing we offer can change how often the ferry runs, so for the islands, order early rather than fast.
