ABOUT

Poster printing for Oxford, without the print shop

Oxford is standard UK delivery: included, tracked, usually two to three working days after dispatch. Prints ordered before 3pm on a working day leave the same day; framed prints take one to three working days to make first.

A fair share of what we print for Oxford addresses is big and text-heavy: A1 and A0 posters for a conference, a department corridor or a presentation. They go through the same presses as everything else. Save the design as a PNG so the text stays crisp, choose matte so it reads under lights, and it prints on the same 240gsm paper as a photo would.

For everything smaller it's the same deal as anywhere in the UK: gloss, satin or matte at one price, frames in Black, White or Oak that arrive ready to hang, no minimum, three or more prints to one address 20% off, and prices set for the sellers who use us every day rather than for walk-in customers.

Homes
Photos, digital downloads, children's drawings, gig posters. One print, no minimum, delivered to the door.
Businesses
Office art, event signage, exhibition and market prints. Pay per order, no account manager required.
Sellers
More than 5,000 shops print with us every day, which is why a single poster costs so little.

THE PAPER

Paper you can feel

Every poster is printed on 240gsm archival paper, FSC-certified, with giclée-quality inks. It's the paper our sellers get rave reviews for, and it's the same for a single print as for a thousand. Three finishes, all the same price.

Gloss
Bold, vibrant colours with a reflective shine. The one for photos.
Satin
Smooth, subtle sheen with minimal glare. Lifts colour without the shine.
Matte
Classic flat finish, no reflections. The choice for art prints and anything behind glass.

Printing in Oxford: your questions

Can you print a conference poster at A0?

Yes, A0 and A1 both, unframed. Save it as a PNG from PowerPoint, Keynote or whatever you designed it in, choose matte, and it prints on 240gsm paper that rolls into a tube without creasing.

What's the latest I can order for a date?

Order before 3pm on a working day and it's dispatched that day, usually arriving two to three working days later, so a week ahead is comfortable and leaves room for a reprint if you spot a typo.

Will small text print sharp?

If it's a PNG exported at the size you're printing, yes. Screenshots and phone photos of a slide won't be, so export the file itself rather than a picture of it.

Can I print landscape?

Yes. Every size can be printed either way round; the crop tool offers portrait and landscape and the price is the same.

Poster printing near Oxford

Delivery covers Oxfordshire, including Abingdon, Witney, Bicester, Didcot, Kidlington and Banbury, at the same price. Nearby: London. Across the country: the UK.

Printing a conference poster

A conference poster is usually A0 or A1, portrait, and the brief says a lot of text. Design it at the final size in whatever you use, PowerPoint, Keynote, Illustrator, and export it as a PNG at that size. Don't screenshot it and don't export a smaller version; the file should be the size of the poster.

Choose matte. Conference halls have overhead lighting, and a glossy poster is unreadable from an angle. The paper is 240gsm, heavy enough to hang flat from pins or clips and to survive the journey in a tube without creasing. A0 and A1 are unframed only, which is what you want for a poster board anyway.

On timing: prints ordered before 3pm on a working day leave the same day and usually arrive two to three working days later, so a week before the conference is comfortable and leaves room for a reprint if you spot a typo. Order before you travel and have it delivered to the department; a tube is easier to carry than you'd think, but easier still is not carrying it.
