Your next product range could already be sitting in your design folder. The illustration from a successful collection, a distinctive pattern or an original photograph could work just as well on a wall as it does on your existing products.
Print on demand artwork lets you turn those assets into physical products without ordering stock upfront. You choose the designs, create the listings and market the collection. At PrintShrimp, we print, frame, pack and ship each order straight to your customer, white label.
For an established ecommerce business, that means a new way to sell your creative work without adding shelves of posters or a framing station. Here’s how to build a wall-art range that feels like a natural extension of your brand.
Choose designs people would want on their walls
Start with artwork that stands on its own, rather than simply enlarging a product label or placing your logo on a poster.
The strongest candidates give customers something they want to display: a memorable illustration, an appealing composition or a connection to a place, interest or identity.
- Original illustrations: give a character, botanical drawing or collection graphic room to become the main attraction.
- Brand photography: consider landscapes, architectural details or carefully composed still-life images you own.
- Patterns: adapt a repeat design into a balanced wall-art composition, perhaps with a border or a change of scale.
- Typography: use original wording and a layout that works as decor, rather than an enlarged advertisement.
A food brand might adapt its ingredient illustrations into kitchen prints. An outdoor business could create a collection from its original landscape photography. These are extensions of the brand’s visual world—not just merchandise carrying its name.
Check the rights before adapting anything. You must own or hold the appropriate licence for everything you upload, including images, fonts and other design elements. A licence for one commercial use does not necessarily cover selling the artwork as a print.
Build a focused collection without committing to stock
You don’t need to turn every design into a poster. Choose a small, coherent selection with a shared subject, palette or visual style, then give the collection a clear place in your store.
That makes the range easier to explain and market. It also gives customers a reason to browse several designs rather than treating each poster as an unrelated product.
With PrintShrimp, there is no minimum order quantity, no monthly fulfilment minimum and no stock to purchase. We make each product after an order is placed, and you pay for fulfilment per order. Optional listing software subscriptions are separate.
You also don’t need to upload your whole catalogue at once. Add products as you go, starting with the artwork that best represents your brand.
Offer the right product, not just more options
Different artwork calls for different presentation. Our wall-art range gives you three useful routes:
| Product | What we make | How it can fit your range |
|---|---|---|
| Premium prints | Archival-grade paper, 200gsm minimum and 260gsm in most locations, with matte, satin or gloss finishes. | A flexible starting point for illustrations, photography and graphic posters. |
| Framed prints | Matte prints in Black, Oak or White pine frames, with shatter-resistant plexiglass and a hanging kit. | A finished, ready-to-hang option for customers who don’t want to source a frame themselves. |
| Fine Art prints | 300gsm, 100% cotton rag paper with a soft watercolour texture and a non-reflective surface. | A distinct paper choice for painted work, illustration, photography and fine art reproductions. |
Framed prints let you sell a complete product without assembling anything. We insert the artwork, protect the corners, box the frame and deliver it ready to hang. There is no mount; if your design needs a white border, include it in the artwork file.
Explore our framed print specifications or Fine Art paper to choose the right presentation. Fine Art is available for deliveries to the UK, USA, Canada and the EU.
Adapt your artwork once for the sizes you want to sell
A design made for a square social post or a narrow label won’t automatically fit a rectangular poster. The goal is to preserve the composition—not squeeze it into every available size.
Choose your launch sizes first, then prepare artwork in the matching proportions. For example:
- A-series artwork: prepare a version for sizes such as A4, A3 and A2.
- 2:3 artwork: use a matching composition for 12 × 18, 16 × 24 and 24 × 36 inch prints.
- 4:5 artwork: prepare a version for 8 × 10 and 16 × 20 inch prints.
Keep important text and details away from the edges, especially when offering frames. Export high-resolution artwork in sRGB, and inspect it at the intended print size. Changing a file’s DPI label won’t fix a blurry original.
Our portal accepts JPG, PNG and PDF product files up to 50MB each. When you upload artwork for one size, we offer to apply it to other sizes of the same shape, reducing repeated uploads.
Only offer sizes you have suitable files for. An imported order with the wrong-shaped artwork can still be printed, enlarged to fill the sheet and cropped. Preparing the right proportions protects the design you intended to sell.
Create listings that show how the artwork lives in a room
Your customers need to picture the finished product, not just recognise the original graphic. Room-scene mockups help show its scale, colour and place in a home.
Our Bulk Lister brings mockups and listing preparation together. Upload your artwork using a template, and we can generate room-scene mockups alongside AI-written titles, descriptions and tags for you to review and edit.
Templates hold your chosen mockup scenes, pricing, frame options and other listing defaults. That helps a collection stay consistent without rebuilding each product from scratch. Listing mockups are included with Bulk Lister; you don’t need the separate standalone mockup add-on for those listings.
For Shopify, the Listing Hub exports a product CSV for you to import into Shopify. It does not publish directly to your store. For Etsy, it creates draft listings that you review and activate on Etsy.
Keep the product information clear: state whether the buyer is choosing an unframed print or a framed product, explain the paper and show the frame colours you offer.
Use built-in price recommendations, then check your costs
You don’t have to start your pricing from a blank sheet. In the Listing Hub, Easy Mode pre-fills recommended prices for print-only and Black, White and Oak framed options. Recommendations are converted from GBP into your shop currency for you to review.
Use those recommendations as a starting point, then check they suit your brand, selling fees, promotions and intended margin. A recommended selling price is not a guaranteed profit.
Our current pricing page shows fulfilment costs by destination and product. Standard shipping is included for prints and frames in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and our listed EU regions. Rest of World deliveries have a separate shipping charge.
Check production and delivery estimates there too, so your store gives buyers realistic expectations for the products and destinations you offer.
Connect your store and leave physical fulfilment to us
Once the collection is ready, connect your Shopify or Etsy shop through Integrations in your PrintShrimp account.
Matching product SKUs link incoming orders to your saved artwork. On Shopify, fulfilment setup assigns matching products to PrintShrimp; orders sent through fulfilment requests can receive tracking back in Shopify. Orders wait unpaid in PrintShrimp until you check and pay for them.
That gives you a clear division of work: you own the designs, listings, marketing and customer relationships; we handle printing, framing, packing and shipping. Fulfilment is white-label, with no PrintShrimp branding on the packaging.
Your artwork can become a new reason for existing customers to shop with you—and a new way for people to discover your brand. You don’t need to build a physical fulfilment operation to find out which designs belong on their walls.
Create your free PrintShrimp account and connect your store to start building a poster and framed-print collection from the designs you already own.
