ABOUT

Poster printing across Ottawa, without the print shop

Orders for Ottawa are printed in Canada and delivered by Canada Post, UPS or Obibox: printed within two working days, usually at the door three to five working days after dispatch, tracked, standard delivery included, prices in Canadian dollars. Framed prints take one to three working days to make first.

Ottawa is a student town and a government town, and a good share of what we send here is from parents elsewhere: a print of home for a residence room, a framed photo for a first apartment in the Glebe. Switch the country to Canada with the button on this page, put their address at checkout and yours as the buyer, and it's printed in Canada and delivered locally with your message on a slip.

The paper is 240gsm giclée in matte, satin or gloss at one price; frames are Black, White or Oak pine with plexiglass, ready to hang. Inch sizes and A-series, no minimum, three or more prints to one address 20% off.

Homes
Photos, digital downloads, children's drawings, gig posters. One print, no minimum, delivered to the door.

THE PAPER

Paper you can feel

Every poster is printed on 240gsm archival paper, FSC-certified, with giclée-quality inks. It's the paper our sellers get rave reviews for, and it's the same for a single print as for a thousand. Three finishes, all the same price.

Gloss
Bold, vibrant colours with a reflective shine. The one for photos.
Satin
Smooth, subtle sheen with minimal glare. Lifts colour without the shine.
Matte
Classic flat finish, no reflections. The choice for art prints and anything behind glass.

Oak frame

A natural oak finish. Corner-protected in transit and delivered with the hanging kit in the box.

Printing in Ottawa: your questions

Can I send a print to a student residence?

Yes. Use the residence's mailing address with the building and room, which the university lists; parcels go to the residence desk or mailroom and the tracking shows when.

Can I order from the UK or Ireland for someone in Ottawa?

Yes. Switch the country to Canada with the button on this page, their address at checkout, your details as the buyer; printed in Canada, paid in dollars, no customs.

Can I write the gift message in French?

Yes; it's printed on the slip exactly as typed.

Can I hang it in a rented room without damage?

Unframed, washi tape at the corners comes off clean; framed 11x14 or A3 leans on a desk or shelf, or takes a removable strip rated for its weight.

Poster printing elsewhere

Delivery covers Ottawa and Gatineau, including Kanata, Orleans, Nepean, Barrhaven and Kingston, at the same price. Across the country: Canada. Nearby: Montreal and Toronto.

A print of home for a student in Ottawa

Residence walls can't take nails and the rooms are small, so the print that works is unframed or small and framed. Unframed, it arrives rolled, flattens under books overnight and goes up with washi tape or removable strips that come off clean in April. Framed at 11x14 or A3, it leans on a desk and looks like someone's home.

Address it the way the university lists residence mail, with the building and room number; parcels go to the residence desk, and the tracking, which comes to you, shows when it's been collected. Three prints to one address are 20% off and arrive in one tube, which covers a wall for less than one frame.

Switch the site to Canada before you order so prices are in dollars and the timing is Canadian; write the note in the basket, in whichever language they read, because it's the only thing in the parcel that says it's from home.
