ABOUT

Poster printing for Milton Keynes, without the print shop

Milton Keynes is standard UK delivery: included, tracked, usually two to three working days after dispatch. Prints ordered before 3pm on a working day leave the same day; framed prints take one to three working days to make first.

New-build walls are plasterboard, and the question here is less what to print than how to hang it. Framed prints are light because the glazing is plexiglass, which makes the answer easy; the guide below covers fixings for every size, and strips for walls you can't mark.

The paper is 240gsm giclée in matte, satin or gloss at one price; frames are Black, White or Oak pine with plexiglass, ready to hang. No minimum, three or more prints to one address 20% off, and prices set for the fifteen thousand sellers who print with us rather than for walk-in customers.

Homes
Photos, digital downloads, children's drawings, gig posters. One print, no minimum, delivered to the door.
Businesses
Office art, event signage, exhibition and market prints. Pay per order, no account manager required.
Sellers
More than 5,000 shops print with us every day, which is why a single poster costs so little.

THE PAPER

Paper you can feel

Every poster is printed on 240gsm archival paper, FSC-certified, with giclée-quality inks. It's the paper our sellers get rave reviews for, and it's the same for a single print as for a thousand. Three finishes, all the same price.

Gloss
Bold, vibrant colours with a reflective shine. The one for photos.
Satin
Smooth, subtle sheen with minimal glare. Lifts colour without the shine.
Matte
Classic flat finish, no reflections. The choice for art prints and anything behind glass.

Printing in Milton Keynes: your questions

Can I hang a framed print on plasterboard?

Yes. A picture hook or a self-drilling plasterboard fixing holds anything up to A2; A1 wants two, on the two hangers. Removable strips rated for the weight do up to A3 without a hole.

Can I have it delivered to my office?

Yes. Company name and yours in the address; reception signs and the tracking tells you when.

Will an A3 arrive flat?

Yes, in a stiff mailer. A2 and larger are rolled and flatten overnight under books.

What size for a wall above a new-build sofa?

A2 for a two-seater, A1 for a three-seater, or two A2s side by side. Ceilings are lower than in older houses, so one print rather than a tall stack.

Poster printing near Milton Keynes

Delivery covers Milton Keynes and the surrounding area, including Bletchley, Newport Pagnell, Buckingham, Bedford, Leighton Buzzard and Northampton, at the same price. Nearby: Oxford and Cambridge. Across the country: the UK.

Hanging prints in a new build

Plasterboard holds a surprising amount if you use the right fixing, and a framed print behind plexiglass weighs far less than people expect. Up to A3, a removable adhesive strip rated above the frame's weight is enough and leaves no mark when you move. Up to A2, a standard picture hook with its hardened pin goes straight into the board. A1 wants two self-drilling plasterboard fixings, one for each hanger on the back, so it sits flat and can't swing.

Find the studs with a knock, or a magnet on the screw heads, and go into a stud when you can: it's the strongest option for a large frame. Avoid the strip of wall directly above a socket, where cables run.

For a rented new build, lean instead: framed prints stand on a shelf, a sideboard or the floor against the wall, which is how most of ours get displayed anyway.
