ABOUT

Poster printing for Cardiff, without the print shop

Cardiff is standard UK delivery: included, tracked, usually two to three working days after dispatch. Prints ordered before 3pm on a working day leave the same day; framed prints take one to three working days to make first. There's no surcharge for a Welsh postcode, in the city or beyond it.

Text prints exactly as it is in your file, Welsh included, so for anything with lettering, save it as a PNG and it stays sharp at any size. For photos and artwork, the file just needs to be the same shape as the size you pick; a phone photo is usually 3:4, which fits 30x40cm or 18x24.

The print is 240gsm giclée paper in gloss, satin or matte, framed in Black, White or Oak if you want it, at prices set for the five thousand or so sellers who use us every day. No minimum, and three or more prints to one address are 20% off.

Homes
Photos, digital downloads, children's drawings, gig posters. One print, no minimum, delivered to the door.
Businesses
Office art, event signage, exhibition and market prints. Pay per order, no account manager required.
Sellers
More than 5,000 shops print with us every day, which is why a single poster costs so little.

THE PAPER

Paper you can feel

Every poster is printed on 240gsm archival paper, FSC-certified, with giclée-quality inks. It's the paper our sellers get rave reviews for, and it's the same for a single print as for a thousand. Three finishes, all the same price.

Gloss
Bold, vibrant colours with a reflective shine. The one for photos.
Satin
Smooth, subtle sheen with minimal glare. Lifts colour without the shine.
Matte
Classic flat finish, no reflections. The choice for art prints and anything behind glass.

Printing in Cardiff: your questions

Can you print Welsh-language text?

We print whatever is in your file exactly as it is, accents and circumflexes included. Saving the design as a PNG keeps the lettering crisp.

Can I print a match-day or gig poster?

If you have the right to print it, yes: your own design, or one you've been given permission to print. We can't print other people's artwork or official posters without that.

Can I get it tomorrow?

Not guaranteed. Prints ordered before 3pm leave the same day and usually arrive two to three working days later; Priority at checkout is the fastest option for orders of prints.

Do framed prints take longer than prints?

Yes. Prints leave the same day if ordered before 3pm; framed prints take one to three working days to make before they leave. Both then take about two to three working days to reach Cardiff.

Poster printing near Cardiff

Delivery covers Cardiff and South Wales, including Newport, Swansea, Barry, Penarth, Caerphilly and Bridgend, at the same price. Across the country: Wales and the UK. Over the bridge: Bristol.

Printing text and designs so they stay sharp

Photos are forgiving; text isn't. A poster with lettering, a logo, a map or a line drawing shows every soft edge, so how you save the file matters more than it does for a photo. The short version: save it as a PNG at the size you're printing, straight from the tool you designed it in, rather than a screenshot or a photo of the screen.

Welsh characters, accents and anything typed into the design print exactly as they are, because we print the file, not a retyped version of it. The same goes for colours: what's in the file is what prints, so check spellings and colours in the preview before you confirm.

Matte is the finish for text. It keeps lettering crisp under lights and avoids the reflections that make a glossy sign hard to read. If it's going in a frame, matte is what you'll get anyway.
