ABOUT

Poster printing for Birmingham, without the print shop

If you're in Birmingham, the only real difference between us and a shop in town is that you don't go to the shop. Upload the file, pick a size, pay, and a print on 240gsm giclée paper is dispatched the same day if you ordered before 3pm, then delivered tracked, usually two to three working days later.

Prices are set for the five thousand or so sellers who use us every day, so a one-off poster costs less than a walk-in job, and the paper, frames and presses are the same for one print as for a hundred. Frames are Black, White or Oak pine with plexiglass, delivered ready to hang.

Sending it to someone else, across the city or across the country, works the same way: their address at checkout, yours as the buyer, and nothing in the parcel says where it came from. Three or more prints to one address are 20% off.

Homes
Photos, digital downloads, children's drawings, gig posters. One print, no minimum, delivered to the door.
Businesses
Office art, event signage, exhibition and market prints. Pay per order, no account manager required.
Sellers
More than 5,000 shops print with us every day, which is why a single poster costs so little.

THE PAPER

Paper you can feel

Every poster is printed on 240gsm archival paper, FSC-certified, with giclée-quality inks. It's the paper our sellers get rave reviews for, and it's the same for a single print as for a thousand. Three finishes, all the same price.

Gloss
Bold, vibrant colours with a reflective shine. The one for photos.
Satin
Smooth, subtle sheen with minimal glare. Lifts colour without the shine.
Matte
Classic flat finish, no reflections. The choice for art prints and anything behind glass.

Printing in Birmingham: your questions

Can I send a print to a different address as a gift?

Yes. Enter the recipient's address at checkout and your own details as the buyer, add a gift message if you want one, and it arrives tracked with no PrintShrimp branding.

Can I print a design that's a PDF?

Save it as a PNG or JPEG first, which most design tools and even Preview on a Mac will do, then upload that. It prints just as sharp.

Can I reorder the same print later?

Yes. Upload the same file again and pick the size; it takes a minute. If you've lost the file, reply to your order confirmation and we can usually print from the one on your order.

What's the difference between satin and gloss?

Gloss is the shiniest and makes photo colours pop; satin has a softer sheen with less glare; matte has none. For anything going behind glass, matte. All three cost the same.

Poster printing near Birmingham

Delivery covers the West Midlands, including Solihull, Wolverhampton, Coventry, Walsall, Dudley and Sutton Coldfield, at the same price. Across the country: the UK.

Sending a framed print as a gift

A framed print makes a good gift precisely because the hard part, the framing, is done. Choose the photo, pick a size, pick a frame colour, put their address at checkout and yours as the buyer, and it arrives boxed and ready to hang with nothing inside to say what it cost or where it came from.

Frame colour is the one decision worth a moment's thought when it's for someone else. Black suits almost any room and almost any image; White suits bright, modern rooms and pale images; Oak suits warmer rooms and photos with wood, skin or sunlight in them. If you don't know their walls, Black.

For timing, framed prints take one to three working days to make before they're dispatched, then two to three working days to arrive, so a week ahead of the day is comfortable. If you want to say something, add a note in the basket before you pay.
