If every Etsy sale sends you back to your folders to find artwork, copy an address and upload another file, your shop is creating work as well as revenue. Adding more designs only helps if you can fulfil the orders without repeating the same jobs.
Etsy listing automation works best when your listings connect to the files we need to print. With PrintShrimp, you can create listings with AI writing and mockups, match incoming orders to saved artwork by SKU, and choose how much of the import and payment process to automate.
You keep designing, listing, marketing and looking after your buyers. We print, frame, pack and ship their orders, white-label. Here’s how to connect those two sides of your business—and fix the gaps that keep pulling you back into manual work.
1. Connect your existing listings without rebuilding your shop
Switching your poster print-on-demand service shouldn’t mean starting your catalogue again. You can connect your existing Etsy shop through Tools → Integrations → Etsy in your PrintShrimp account, then import your open orders.
The connection brings in paid, undispatched, uncancelled physical orders. Customer addresses import even when artwork isn’t matched yet, so you don’t need to finish uploading your whole catalogue before getting started.
The important connection is the SKU: the product code on your Etsy listing that links the sale to your artwork in PrintShrimp.
For Etsy, use one unique SKU per design, shared across that listing’s size and frame options. We read the size from the order and use the saved file for that size. You don’t need separate Etsy product codes for every frame colour.
That gives you a practical switching route: connect your shop, add the artwork for the products you’re moving across, and check the first imported orders before paying.
2. Fix SKU mismatches once, rather than attaching files repeatedly
If an imported order says “No product found”, the order hasn’t found matching artwork under its SKU. Attaching an image can get that order moving, but fixing the product connection is what makes future sales easier.
Create a PrintShrimp product with the SKU used on the Etsy listing, then save the artwork for the sizes you sell. Future matching orders can use those files without another upload.
If your existing Etsy catalogue has size-specific codes such as COAST-A3 and COAST-A4, our free Change SKUs tool can clean up the codes across the listings you select. It supports adding or removing prefixes and suffixes, finding and replacing text, and previewing changes before you apply them.
Keep different designs distinct. Removing a size ending should leave a unique design code—not turn several artworks into the same SKU. If listings share a code, an imported order may need you to identify the correct design before it can proceed.
The benefit is straightforward: tidy the connection once, and you stop solving the same artwork question every time that design sells.
3. Give every offered size a print-ready file
A matching SKU is only half the job. We use the artwork saved for the exact size ordered; we don’t substitute another size’s file.
For example, if your coastal print has an A3 file but a buyer orders A2, that order needs an A2 file saved before it can be paid. Uploading the missing file for the matching SKU and size fills in ordinary waiting order items automatically.
You don’t have to upload every size individually. PrintShrimp offers “Apply Image to Other Sizes?” after an upload for compatible sizes of the same shape. For an existing catalogue, Bulk Add Sizes fills missing sizes while leaving your existing artwork in place.
Use the correct artwork proportions for each size you offer. An A-series file and a 2:3 file aren’t interchangeable: putting the wrong shape on an order can crop important details.
| What you see | What to fix | Why it helps |
|---|---|---|
| No product found | Save a product with the Etsy listing’s SKU and the required artwork. | Future orders can match to that design. |
| Matching product, missing artwork | Add the file for the exact size ordered. | The order can become ready without substituting another file. |
| Several listings share a SKU | Give each design its own unique code. | Orders can identify the correct artwork. |
| Wrong-shape warning | Upload artwork matching the ordered size’s proportions. | You avoid unwanted cropping. |
4. Choose how much order automation you want
Once your SKUs and files are connected, you can stop treating every sale as a fresh setup task. PrintShrimp gives you separate controls for importing orders, paying for them and returning tracking.
Start with a final check before payment
With automatic payment off, imported orders wait unpaid in Pending Orders. You can check the artwork, size, finish and delivery address before paying and sending the order into production.
That’s useful when switching a catalogue: you can confirm that your existing listings are being read correctly without immediately committing every imported order to print.
Turn on automatic Etsy imports
After you’ve imported your shop manually once, Auto-import Etsy orders can bring orders in five times a day. It removes the need to keep pressing Import Orders, while leaving payment under your control unless you enable auto-pay separately.
Use wallet auto-pay for ready orders
Auto-pay from wallet pays ready Etsy orders after your chosen delay, with checks every 15 minutes. It uses your prepaid PrintShrimp wallet—not your card—and only pays orders with the required artwork and product details in place.
Orders needing attention wait for you. Your wallet also needs enough funds for the payment batch.
Selling personalised prints? Etsy personalisation text appears on the imported order, but we print the attached artwork file. Auto-pay doesn’t hold personalised orders back, so keep it off or choose a delay that gives you time to attach the finished design before payment.
Check everything before paying: once an order enters production, it can’t be changed.
5. Make new listings ready for fulfilment from the start
Cleaning up an existing catalogue helps today’s orders. Our Bulk Listing tool helps you avoid recreating that work as your shop grows.
In the Listing Hub, you choose a template, upload your designs, generate AI-written titles, descriptions and tags alongside room-scene mockups, then review and edit the results.
Templates carry the repeat work. They hold your mockup scenes, pricing, frame options and shipping settings. Easy Mode includes recommended prices for print-only and Black, White and Oak frame options, converted to your shop currency for you to review.
Keep PrintShrimp Product switched on so the upload also becomes saved print artwork when you list to Etsy. Files are created for sizes matching the uploaded artwork’s shape; if you offer other proportions, add those files too.
Bulk List supports A-series, 2:3, 3:4 and 4:5 artwork, but not square files. It creates Etsy draft listings, which you check and publish in Etsy—not automatically visible products.
Every account includes five free AI listing credits each month, and listing mockups are included. Generation uses one credit per listing, or two when it includes seven or more compatible mockup scenes. You can try the workflow before choosing a paid listing plan.
6. Let tracking finish the connection
Fulfilment automation shouldn’t stop when you pay. With Etsy tracking sync enabled, we send the tracking number to the connected Etsy order when it becomes available and mark that order as dispatched. Etsy then emails your buyer.
In PrintShrimp, Paid Orders shows production and tracking information, so you can check progress without rebuilding an order history from emails.
Fulfilment has no monthly fee or minimum order requirement; optional listing software is separate. Use our current pricing and production estimates to check the products and destinations you sell. Standard shipping is included for the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and our listed EU regions; Rest of World delivery has a separate shipping charge.
Build a shop that doesn’t need another upload for every sale
The useful version of Etsy listing automation isn’t just faster descriptions. It’s a connected workflow: unique design SKUs, the right size files, imports that bring in your sales, payment controls that suit your shop and tracking sent back to Etsy.
PrintShrimp brings those pieces together, while we handle printing, framing, packing and shipping under your brand.
Create your free PrintShrimp account and connect your Etsy shop. Start with the designs you want to move across, check their first orders, and turn on more automation when your files and listings are ready.
