Your next product collection could already be sitting in your design files. Illustrations, original patterns and photography can become posters that give existing customers another way to enjoy your brand.

Adding art print on demand to your Shopify store lets you test that opportunity without ordering stock or finding space for frames. You create the designs, list the products and market the collection. At PrintShrimp, we print, frame, pack and ship each order directly to your buyer.

Our listing tools help turn artwork into product listings, while our Shopify integration connects the products you sell to the files we print. Here’s how to add wall art to your existing shop without building a separate fulfilment operation.

1. Extend your brand with a collection that belongs in your shop

The strongest starting point is not a huge poster catalogue. It is a focused collection that makes sense alongside what you already sell.

A stationery brand could turn its original illustrations into matching wall art. A homeware business could offer posters that complement its colours and patterns. A photographer selling other products could add prints from a recognisable series.

Start with designs your audience can connect to your brand. Choose a small, coherent selection and give each piece a clear place in the collection. That makes it easier to present the range through your existing product pages, email campaigns and social content.

With poster print on demand, we only make an item after it is ordered. There is no minimum order quantity, so you do not need to buy a batch of every design before discovering which ones your customers choose.

You must own or hold the appropriate licences for the artwork you use. From there, the opportunity is straightforward: turn your creative assets into physical products without holding physical stock.

2. Offer posters and ready-to-hang framed prints

Give customers a choice between the artwork alone and a finished piece for their wall. Both can use the same artwork file for the relevant size, so adding frames does not mean creating a separate design.

Product What we make Why offer it?
Unframed poster or art print Premium archival-grade paper, 200gsm minimum and 260gsm in most locations, with matte, satin or gloss finishes A print-only option for customers who want to choose their own frame
Framed print A matte print in a Black, Oak or White pine frame, with shatter-resistant plexiglass and a hanging kit A complete, ready-to-hang product without any framing work for your business

Our framed prints arrive with the artwork already inserted. We protect the corners and box the finished piece before shipping it to your customer.

Frames have no mount. If your design needs a mount-style appearance, include a white border in the artwork itself; it will print as part of the image.

Explore our framed print specifications when deciding how to describe the finished product in your shop.

3. Build product pages that show how the art fits a home

Your customers know your brand, but they still need to picture the new product in their space. Use room-scene mockups to show the artwork’s style and presentation, rather than relying on a flat design image alone.

Our Bulk Listing tools bring the main parts of that work together. In the Listing Hub, you upload artwork and use a template to set your mockup scenes, product options, pricing and content preferences.

Our AI can write titles, descriptions and tags from the artwork, while the tool renders your chosen mockups. You can review and edit the results before exporting the listings.

Keep your existing brand voice. Use the template’s instructions to guide the writing, then check that each description explains the design and makes the physical product clear.

Useful product-page details include:

  • What the buyer receives: a physical print or a ready-to-hang framed print, not a digital download.
  • Size and finish: clear choices for the dimensions and formats you offer.
  • Frame details: the selected colour, matte print and included hanging kit.
  • Delivery expectations: production plus shipping estimates appropriate to the destination.

Listing mockups are included with Bulk List; you do not need the separate standalone Bulk Mockup add-on to create them for these listings.

4. Use the Shopify CSV route to add your collection

You do not have to recreate every generated listing by hand in Shopify.

Once you have reviewed your drafts in the Listing Hub, select List to Shopify. This downloads a Shopify CSV containing the product information and priced size and frame options. Import that file through Shopify admin → Products → Import.

This is a CSV export and import route, not direct publishing from PrintShrimp into Shopify. It gives you a practical way to prepare a collection together, then finish its presentation in your existing store.

When exporting, we recommend keeping the option to create the products on PrintShrimp switched on. That saves the print files alongside their SKUs, giving future orders the artwork they need.

Only offer sizes with suitable artwork attached. An upload supplies print files for sizes matching its shape. If you also offer sizes with different proportions, add the appropriate files before those orders can be fulfilled.

5. Start with our price recommendations, then check your costs

Adding wall art should strengthen your range commercially, not leave you guessing about fulfilment costs.

In the Listing Hub’s Easy Mode, print-only and Black, White and Oak frame options come with recommended retail prices pre-filled. Those recommendations are converted from GBP into your shop currency for you to review.

Use them as a starting point, then check the current PrintShrimp pricing for your chosen products and customer destinations. Allow for your own Shopify, payment, marketing and tax costs when setting the final selling prices.

Standard shipping is included for prints and frames delivered to the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and our listed EU countries. Rest of World deliveries have a separate shipping charge.

Creating a PrintShrimp account is free, with no monthly fulfilment fee or minimum commitment. Optional listing software subscriptions are separate from the amount you pay to fulfil orders.

6. Connect Shopify and assign the right products to us

Once the collection is ready, connect your store through Tools → Integrations → Shopify in PrintShrimp. The connection takes you to our Shopify app to install.

Next, use Set up fulfillment. This matches your Shopify products to your PrintShrimp products by SKU and assigns the matching products to us for fulfilment.

The SKU is the link between the sale and the artwork. Keep those codes consistent so the ordered product and size can find the correct saved file. The Shopify CSV route can create size-specific variant SKUs for this purpose.

This lets you add a PrintShrimp-fulfilled wall-art collection alongside your existing range. If your team needs help connecting the store, we offer free integration help.

7. Review and pay for Shopify orders before we print

After fulfilment is set up, paid Shopify orders reach us through a fulfilment request. You can also use Import Shopify Orders to bring eligible orders into PrintShrimp.

They wait unpaid in Pending Orders, where you can check the artwork, size, format and delivery address. Missing files or unclear details are flagged for attention before the order is ready to pay.

A customer’s payment in Shopify does not pay PrintShrimp automatically. Shopify orders are paid manually in our app, by card or from your PrintShrimp wallet. Our wallet auto-pay feature does not apply to Shopify orders.

Once you pay, we handle production, packing and delivery. Fulfilment is white-label, with no PrintShrimp branding on the packaging. Tracking is sent back to Shopify for orders received through a fulfilment request.

You remain responsible for your listings, marketing and customer relationships. We take care of making and shipping the wall art.

Turn your designs into your next Shopify collection

You do not need to turn your business into a print studio to sell posters. Start with a collection that fits your brand, show it clearly with mockups and connect the artwork to your Shopify products.

PrintShrimp brings listing tools and wall-art fulfilment together, so you can expand your catalogue without buying printers, stocking frames or packing customer orders.
