Proper paper at the size you know: 21 x 30cm

A4 is the size of a sheet of paper, which is why it's the one people underestimate. On 240gsm giclée stock it's a print, not a printout: a desk photo, a kitchen print, a framed drawing, one of a set of six on a wall. Delivery included.

WHAT TO KNOW

What to know about A4

  • 21 x 29.7cm, 8.3 x 11.7 inches. The same proportion as every A size, so an A-series file prints at any of them.
  • Nearly any image prints sharp at A4, including screenshots and copies sent through messaging apps.
  • Posted flat in a stiff mailer unframed; boxed with the hanging kit framed.
  • Three or more to one address are 20% off, so a set of small prints costs less than one big one.

A4 - 21x30cm: $12.00 unframed, $28.00 framed in Black, White or Oak. Delivery included.

How long it takes

In the UK, A4 prints ordered before 3pm on a working day leave the same day and usually arrive two to three working days later, tracked; framed A4 takes one to three working days to make first. Elsewhere it's printed in your country; times are on the page for where you are. Delivery included.

HOW IT LOOKS

What you see is what prints

The crop tool fits your file to the size you choose and shows you exactly what will print. Then the product image becomes a preview of your print in the frame. If it looks right on the screen, it's right on the wall; what you upload is what you get.

Live preview
Your file appears in a Black, White or Oak frame the moment it's uploaded. Change the size or frame and it updates.
Crop you control
Drag the crop until the important part is in. Portrait or landscape, same price. Nothing is cropped without you seeing it.
Delivery included
Printed near you, tracked to your door, rolled in a tube or boxed in a frame. Damaged in transit? Reprinted and resent free.

Your questions

Why not just print A4 at home?

Paper. Home printers use 80 to 120gsm; this is 240gsm archival stock with pigment inks, which is what makes a photo on a desk look like a print rather than a handout, and it doesn't fade.

Is A4 the same as letter size?

Close but not the same: letter is 8.5 x 11 inches, A4 is 8.3 x 11.7. A letter-shaped file prints at A4 with a thin crop, which the crop tool shows you; 8x10 is the nearest inch size we offer.

Can I print a document or a certificate?

Yes, as a JPEG or PNG at full size. Matte keeps text crisp and is what framed prints use.

Is there a minimum order?

No. One A4 is a normal order and delivery is still included.

A4 in sets

On its own, A4 belongs on a desk, a shelf or a kitchen wall. In a group it does something bigger: six A4s in matching frames fill a wall as well as one A1 and cost less, and they're easier to hang straight because each one is light.

Order the set together so three or more are 20% off and arrive in one mailer; keep one finish, matte for most, and one frame colour. Lay them on the floor to work out the gaps before you measure, and give each about two fingers of space.

A4 is also the size for a child's drawing, printed from a phone photo of it, and it's the one you can send to a grandparent framed without worrying about their wall.
