ABOUT

Poster printing for Plymouth, without the print shop

Plymouth is standard UK delivery: included, tracked, usually two to three working days after dispatch. Prints ordered before 3pm on a working day leave the same day; framed prints take one to three working days to make first.

Plymouth sends prints to people who are away: a photo of home for someone on a ship or a posting, or a photo from the deployment for the house. Order from here or from wherever you are, put the right address at checkout, and a message in the basket goes in the box on a slip. The guide below covers timing it.

The paper is 240gsm giclée in matte, satin or gloss at one price; frames are Black, White or Oak pine with plexiglass, ready to hang. No minimum, three or more prints to one address 20% off, and prices set for the fifteen thousand sellers who print with us rather than for walk-in customers.

Homes
Photos, digital downloads, children's drawings, gig posters. One print, no minimum, delivered to the door.
Businesses
Office art, event signage, exhibition and market prints. Pay per order, no account manager required.
Sellers
More than 5,000 shops print with us every day, which is why a single poster costs so little.

THE PAPER

Paper you can feel

Every poster is printed on 240gsm archival paper, FSC-certified, with giclée-quality inks. It's the paper our sellers get rave reviews for, and it's the same for a single print as for a thousand. Three finishes, all the same price.

Gloss
Bold, vibrant colours with a reflective shine. The one for photos.
Satin
Smooth, subtle sheen with minimal glare. Lifts colour without the shine.
Matte
Classic flat finish, no reflections. The choice for art prints and anything behind glass.

Printing in Plymouth: your questions

Can I send a print to someone away on a posting?

To any street address in the countries we deliver to, yes, with your details as the buyer and theirs at checkout. For a BFPO or ship's address, order it to yourself unframed and forward it; those addresses don't take courier tracking.

How do I keep the colours of a sunset photo?

Choose satin unframed, which holds saturated oranges better than matte, and don't over-edit before uploading; the preview shows what will print.

Can I print a photo of a boat or the sea at A1?

From a camera or a recent phone's original, yes. Sea and sky are smooth areas that show softness, so use the original file rather than a copy from a messaging app.

Do you print in landscape?

Every size prints either way round at the same price; the crop tool offers both.

Poster printing near Plymouth

Delivery covers Plymouth and the surrounding area, including Saltash, Tavistock, Ivybridge, Torpoint, Liskeard and Launceston, at the same price. Nearby: Exeter. Across the country: the UK.

Sending a print to someone who's away

If they're at a normal address abroad, order it to them directly: switch the country picker to where they are so prices and times match, put their address at checkout and yours as the buyer, and it's printed in their country where we have a press, with your message on a slip in the box. The tracking comes to you.

If it's a ship, a base or a BFPO number, the couriers can't track to it, so order the print unframed to yourself, which leaves the same day if ordered by 3pm, and forward it in its tube through the forces post. A4 or A3 fits the parcel limits and a locker; a print that's going into a cabin wants to be small.

For the house while they're gone, the photo from the last leave at A2 in a Black frame is the one that gets hung.
