On a wall indoors, no; 240gsm archival paper and pigment inks don't mind a Brisbane summer. Keep it out of a bathroom and off a wall that gets rain through a louvre, or frame it, where the plexiglass does the protecting.

Heavy paper copes with humidity better than light paper, which is one reason ours is 240gsm: it stays flat where an 80gsm poster would ripple. Pigment inks don't run or bloom in damp air the way dye inks can. So an unframed print on an interior wall of a Queenslander is fine through summer; the two places it isn't are a bathroom and a wall that gets wet when it rains sideways through louvres.

Framed is the belt-and-braces version: the print sits behind plexiglass, which doesn't fog or crack the way glass can in a house that swings between air-con and open windows, and the pine frame is finished front and back. Keep any frame out of direct sun, which fades anything, print or paint.

Matte for most walls, since Brisbane rooms are bright; satin for a photo on a wall away from the windows. Prints arrive rolled in a tube and flatten overnight under books, humidity or not.
