What to know about wedding signs

  • A1 (59 x 84cm) is the standard easel sign; A2 (42 x 59cm) suits a welcome table, a bar or the cake table. Most templates are made at A1 or 24x36; both print here.
  • Export as PNG at full size; names and script fonts stay crisp. Check the seating chart names in the preview before you pay, because that's the one that gets reprinted.
  • Framed signs stand on an easel and come home afterwards; the welcome sign in Oak or White is the one couples keep. Framed prints are matte, so no glare in the photos.

How long it takes, and when to order

Prints are normally dispatched the same day in the UK, the US and Australia, and within a couple of days in the EU and Canada; framed prints take one to three working days to make first. Delivery is tracked and included. Order the welcome sign and anything framed at least two weeks before the day, and the seating chart as soon as the final numbers are in, a week before at the latest. Black, White or Oak pine, 20–25mm deep, glazed with shatter-resistant plexiglass, hanging kit in the box. Printed matte so there's no glare behind the glass. Most sizes up to A1.

Black frame

A smooth black finish. Pine, 20–25mm deep, with 1–2mm shatter-resistant plexiglass.

Oak frame

What size is a wedding welcome sign?

A1 on an easel, A2 on a table. If your template says 24x36 or 18x24, those print here too, as exact inch sizes.

Can I print an Etsy template I bought?

Yes. Edit it in Canva or Templett, download as PNG at the largest size, and upload. The licence for personal use covers your own wedding.

Does a framed A1 stand on an easel?

Yes; any standard display easel holds it, and the plexiglass keeps it light enough for a wooden one. It also hangs afterwards.

What if a name changes after I've ordered?

Reorder the print alone and swap it into the frame; an unframed A1 leaves the same day if ordered before 3pm. Leave the seating chart until the numbers are final.

Printing the seating chart without a reprint

The seating chart is the sign that goes wrong, because it's the one with eighty names on it and the one that changes. Set the Canva page to A1 before you lay it out, so the names aren't shrunk later; keep the smallest name at 18pt or above, which reads from a metre away; and alphabetise by surname, since guests look for themselves, not their table.

Download as PNG at the largest size and look at the preview at full A1 before you pay: scroll the names, because a typo on the sign is a typo in the photos. Order it unframed once the numbers are final, a week before, and it leaves the same day; frame the welcome sign instead, which doesn't change.

Matte for all of it: no glare for the photographer, and the pencil-grey scripts most templates use print cleanly on it.
