Christmas at PrintShrimp

Every press running, every day, through 23 December. Here's when to order for each country, when we're open, and a plea to stay calm when the couriers get busy. Pick a country, or see them all at once.

The December timeline

Tap a date to see what it means. Orange is a cut-off, green is still shipping, grey is a day we're closed.

Please don't panic.

From the second week of December we're flat out, and so is every courier. Tracking will sometimes sit still for a day or two longer than usual, especially on framed prints. That parcel is not lost. It's in a van.

If tracking is a day or two behind, please give it a few days before opening a case. We'd rather spend that time printing your orders, and it will arrive.

What we promise

  • Presses run every day through 23 December, including weekends.
  • Prints get tracking at or close to normal speed right up to the cut-offs.
  • If a parcel is genuinely lost, we resend faster than usual, at our cost, so it still arrives for Christmas.
  • Closed 24 to 27 December, back printing Monday 28. Closed 1 January, normal from Monday 4.

When to contact us

Tracking hasn't moved for five working days in the UK, US or Australia, or seven in Canada or the EU? Message us with the order number and we'll chase it or resend it. Before that, it's just December.

Tell your customers

Paste this in your shop announcement. It saves you more messages than anything else on this page.

Christmas delivery: order by 16 December for prints, or 14 December for framed prints, to be sure of delivery before Christmas (UK, US and Australia; Canada two days earlier; EU five days earlier). Later orders still ship fast but aren't guaranteed for the 25th. Tracking can pause for a day or two in December while the carriers catch up; if it does, please allow a couple of extra days before getting in touch. Happy Christmas.

Every date, by country

Questions

Can I still order after the guaranteed date?

Yes, right up to the last tracking date for your country. We'll print it and it will have tracking before Christmas; whether it arrives before the 25th is then down to the courier, and we can't promise it. Tell your customer that when they order.

Tracking hasn't moved for two days. Should I open a case?

Not yet. A parcel sitting at the same scan for two or three days is normal in December. Wait five working days (seven for Canada and the EU), then message us with the order number and we'll chase it or resend it.

What if a parcel really is lost?

We resend it free, and in December we do that sooner than our usual policy so it still arrives for Christmas.

Why do framed prints need the earlier date?

A frame takes one to three working days to make before it ships, goes by courier rather than post, and boxes move more slowly than tubes through December networks. After the framed date, tell the customer it may arrive after Christmas; most won't, but some will.

Which dates apply to a gift going to another country?

The country it's going to. An order from a UK shop to a US address is printed in the US and follows the US dates.

Should I pause my shop?

No. Keep taking orders, use the announcement text above, and switch listings to "may arrive after Christmas" once you're past the guaranteed dates. Plenty of people buy prints in the last week of December for January walls.
