What to know about classroom prints

  • A2 for a display heading, a topic poster or a reading-corner print; A1 for the back-wall centrepiece. Both print portrait or landscape.
  • Export as PNG at full size from Canva, PowerPoint or Twinkl-style editors; set the page to A2 or A1 first so text isn't shrunk. Keep the smallest text at 24pt to read from the back row.
  • Matte, so it doesn't glare under classroom strip lights.
  • Three or more unframed prints to one address are 20% off, so a set of displays for a new classroom costs less than tiling and laminating.

How long it takes

Prints are normally dispatched the same day in the UK, the US and Australia, and within a couple of days in the EU and Canada; framed prints take one to three working days to make first. Framed, ready to hang

Black, White or Oak pine, 20–25mm deep, glazed with shatter-resistant plexiglass, hanging kit in the box. Printed matte so there's no glare behind the glass. Most sizes up to A1.

Black frame

A smooth black finish. Pine, 20–25mm deep, with 1–2mm shatter-resistant plexiglass.

Oak frame

A natural oak finish. Corner-protected in transit and delivered with the hanging kit in the box.

White frame

Your questions

Can I print resources I bought from a teaching site?

If the licence allows printing for your own classroom, yes; most do. We print what you upload and don't check rights, so that part's yours.

Does the school get an invoice?

The order confirmation is an itemised receipt with VAT shown, which is what most school offices accept for a reclaim.

Can I deliver to the school?

Yes. Put the school's address with your name and "for the attention of" at checkout; it goes to the office and the tracking tells you when.

Will it last a year on a wall?

Yes. The paper is heavy and the inks don't fade indoors; it comes down at the end of the year the way it went up, in one piece.

Making a display that reads from the back row

A display is read from across a room by someone who's nine, so it wants fewer words and bigger type than a worksheet. Set the Canva or PowerPoint page to A2 or A1 before you start; heading text at 60pt and above, body text at 24pt and above, dark on pale. One idea per poster.

Images need to be real files, not screenshots: Canva's own graphics and photos are fine, a picture pasted from a web page will blur at A1. Download as PNG at 2x, upload, and check the preview at the size you're ordering.

Order three or more at once for the discount, have them sent to school, and they go up with staples or Blu Tack straight from the tube. For a print you'd like to keep, the reading-corner one or the class photo, order it framed and it comes home in July.
