  • 21 x 29.7cm, 8.3 x 11.7 inches. The same proportion as every A size, so an A-series file prints at any of them.
  • Nearly any image prints sharp at A4, including screenshots and copies sent through messaging apps.

Framed, ready to hang

Black, White or Oak pine, 20–25mm deep, glazed with shatter-resistant plexiglass, hanging kit in the box. Printed matte so there's no glare behind the glass. Most sizes up to A1.

Black frame

A smooth black finish. Pine, 20–25mm deep, with 1–2mm shatter-resistant plexiglass.

Oak frame

A natural oak finish. Corner-protected in transit and delivered with the hanging kit in the box.

White frame

A clean white frame. Printed matte so there's no glare behind the glass, ready to hang the moment it arrives.

Your questions

Why not just print A4 at home?

Paper. Home printers use 80 to 120gsm; this is 240gsm archival stock with pigment inks, which is what makes a photo on a desk look like a print rather than a handout, and it doesn't fade.

Is A4 the same as letter size?

Close but not the same: letter is 8.5 x 11 inches, A4 is 8.3 x 11.7. A letter-shaped file prints at A4 with a thin crop, which the crop tool shows you; 8x10 is the nearest inch size we offer.

Can I print a document or a certificate?

Yes, as a JPEG or PNG at full size. Matte keeps text crisp and is what framed prints use.

Is there a minimum order?

No. One A4 is a normal order and delivery is still included.

A4 in sets

On its own, A4 belongs on a desk, a shelf or a kitchen wall. In a group it does something bigger: six A4s in matching frames fill a wall as well as one A1 and cost less, and they're easier to hang straight because each one is light.

Order the set together so three or more are 20% off and arrive in one mailer; keep one finish, matte for most, and one frame colour. Lay them on the floor to work out the gaps before you measure, and give each about two fingers of space.

A4 is also the size for a child's drawing, printed from a phone photo of it, and it's the one you can send to a grandparent framed without worrying about their wall.
